Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hutchins, and the company of agnostic antagonists have redefined faith as a leap or stab in the dark. But this is not the Biblical definition of faith. For example, we have been studying the Gospels and John days with clarity of biblical faith and epistemology Is evidence-based.

John 20:31

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

And the epistles of John we read the following:

1 John 5:13

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Clearly faith, by this standard, is the testimony of evidence.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

(Romans 1:16)

Paul met the resurrected Christ on the road to Demarcus. This changed everything. He was fearless and unstoppable, as were the 12 other apostles in the face of pain and death. They feared not those who could destroy their physical body but rather the lies of oppressors who could destroy their soul in Hell.

In the fallout of the USA Watergate scandal Chuck Colson while in Max security prison became a Christian. He said Watergate was proof of the Resurrection of Christ in that seven men could not keep up their lie for even a few years. While the Apostles, though tortured with beatings, stoning, floggings, imprisonments, starved, ridiculed exiled, and facing horrible deaths including crucifixion, not one recanted their story of the resurrection.

To this day the church has grown, as in Jesus' parable, a great tree filling the earth with its branches. The birds, especially in the Western world, have taken shelter in its branches squawking out their lies and defecating their poison upon its roots. Fear their lies not intimidation for now is Christ risen from the dead the first fruits of those who slept Hallelujah

We will continue this theme in the epistles of John of evidence-based faith with 12 lessons of evidence-based faith.
